The thing with people who scream and shout at games is that they probably never get the opportunity to vent their everyday frustrations due to a lack of bottle. Maybe their wives henpeck them or something and they feel that the only way to get things out of their system is to shout at players who usually don't answer back.

I vent my frustrations (usually work related - not the wife, she's watching me) at the opposition tactics or a refs bad judgements. I never will understand why people do it to their own team. IMO you may as well not follow them.

It is mate. Factory at Widnes it's called. I believe it's in a gallery in Christchurch NZ.

i don't think i said verbal abuse of the players was the way to go, infact i have never verbally abused a player myself, however other people who have payed their money have a right to air their views their are different methods ofcourse. Many prefer to do this from the comfort of their computer, others will do face to face, there isn't much difference.

Yes there is.

I'm writing calmly to 'Gregory Peck' and you're writing 5hite to 'Pepe Le Pew'.

Paying money does not give anyone the right to verbally abuse anyone. Supporting this attitude is almost equally unacceptable.

As you admit yourself:

There are other ways to express your dismay; we've all called players a stupid c**t in the heat of the moment, but snarling verbal abuse directly at players with members of their families present is disgusting and, I'll say it again, COUNTER PRODUCTIVE!

Not 100% sure mate but I'd like to believe it's Boultings as my Nan used to work there - and it was one of the most famous chimneys in the town!

No can't say i have ever done this, but in my opinion from experience of bridgend last year the players deserved all verbals they could have got, cos at the end of the day someone had to tell them, cos the coach certainly didn't, as regards to friday night there was only one player in particular who did not give 100% imho The verbal abuse of Thackray, although i amnot a fan of his was probably uncalled for, however tensions do run high and some people get carried away, this is not say they are any less a fan.

It's not about who's the bestest fan. It's about what is right and what is wrong. The people who abuse players are wrong and you are very wrong too for defending their actions.

for gregory peck !

no player deserves verbal abuse no matter how they play!!

at the end of the day would you like someone giving you abuse at work?
no so don't do it, people who do should be picked out and banned from the stadium and the idiot that shouted abuse at thackeray should be aswell

i can't even believe you would condone it, or even take part.
the fans are the people who support there club no matter what and if you can't do that then yes you are not a true fan !

Yes they are. In fact I'd go as far as to say they were sub human. The abuse at Bridgend was disgusting. Those fans lost complete self dignity and self control that day, just as the moronic bell ends at Halifax did the other night. These people do not deserve to wear the black and white and in fact should not even be allowed to procreate.

Chemical castration?

Or maybe the two brick method?
