You're missing out there mate.... meat and potato, steak and gravy, cheese and onion, so many varieties and so little time. I remember the golden era of Pimbletts in the 80's and early 90's before the change happened.

I'm not ashamed to say that I am a massive pie fan.

As much as I hate the name Pukka Pies are well worth a try too.

Mine is steak or steak and ale. Meat and Potato is nice and all but I always end up wishing it was a proper cornish pasty.

Gonna have to agree with you there mate, steak and ale is unbeatable!

While I have said that I do not eat many pies, I do have the good fortune to have been married for 45 years to a lady who is a great cook. She also makes a great steak and kidney pie, but rations me to one every now and then to preserve my waistline!

Our local butcher does sell some well matured meat and his sirloin steaks are the best ever. He is also a fisherman and sells very cheaply freshly caught trout --- a 3lb trout on the barbie is brilliant.
