But how can you instil any of that in a bunch of egotistical players who make it clear they don't want to be at the club? Any player pulling on a professional rugby league shirt should not need motivation, pride or team spirit coaching into them. We had it in abundance last year when we were up against that 9 point deficit.

Cullen hasn't moaned about the players. But we all know our pack is one of the poorest in the Championship. As such, we stand little chance of being anything other than a mid-table team whoever is coach.

Cullen said our players weren't honest enough last night. I think that says a lot about what's going on with some of them.

I remember Daryl Powell being shuffled upstairs at Leeds. There was only one way he was going after that - out the door. Kelly will face the same fate.

Martin Hall also shuffled upstairs at Fax but he has bucked the trend.
The longest surviving "shuffler" is Steve Simms.
