Our former players : Fri May 01, 2009 9:15 am
I'm sure many of you saw the Fev v Fax game last tnight. A cracker and to be honest probably the most enjoyable game of RL I've seen this season. But with so many former Widnesians on display, how many would you want back?

Have to be honest, I didn't think any of them stood out as being better that we already have, not even Beswick who I thought went back to making too many wrong options agains. They all played well, but individually, I'm not convinced our lads are less skilful.

I reckon our problem is more in the balance of the side.

As an aside, how does a guy like Watene make so few yards????

It's more about drawing defenders and then a quick play. However Fev were allowed to sit on our players and have a picnic.

an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

Love a brew.

Dont rate Kain, i dont think any of the ex Widnes players are real stand outs. Ben Black is a great little player for Halifax and they made some shrewd signings in the pack with the likes of Tamgart and Matt James.

Hardman is a better fullback than Wildbore, clearly.
