Embarrassing from Burgess. It wasn't a friendly or lads playing on a Saturday morning. His club screwed up, why should Hull give up an advantage?

As for barging into Myler, well he has a bit of history of that sort of thing hasn't he?

He also has a worse rap sheet than Myler off the field, but somehow people forget about that.

I wonder why Balmforth doesn’t get much of a look in - is it his defence? Pele needs to be used more. Certainly another centre/second row would be a useful addition we do leak points on our left. Lost a bit of discipline tonight but compared to early season much better. I really like Herman E. At least we looked like a proper rl team and capable of improvement - defence is less leaky but need more attacking options. I was generally more happy last night. A win next week is important

Read posters comments about the hooking position.
Scott Lane Cator in the back row is without doubt the smallest in Sl.
Halfback Charles & Smith.
There’s no wonder we get dominated every game. Houghton or Balmforth at 9 wouldn’t make much difference when teams are running over the top of us.
I’m not fussed on Jack brown or George king either.
We’ve made a statement signing in Asiata
Maybe I’m been naive but I don’t think he’d have signed if he hadnt been assured other quality players are coming in..

Houghton regularly chooses the wrong option. That pass behind everyone in the first half was abysmal

One of the things that bugs me with Houghton, that he did on a couple of occasions last night, is that when he scoots he picks up the first 10 metres then randomly turns 90 degrees and starts running sideways, then passes the ball 10 metres back again to the first receiver. That means we're right back at the advantage line anyway, and lost any momentum Houghton gained from his initial scoot.
He's lost all the speed to be able to break through behind the ruck but he's still better off just taking the tackle and getting a quick play the ball while the defence is still retreating.
I know you can argue that the rest of the team should be pushing up with him (and yes, they should) but sometimes they're not, so don't try and force the pass to somebody, just take the metres he's already earned and play the ball.

If what I'm seeing is correct, Pele is playing again today for the reserves?
Obviously trying to hammer some fitness into him if so.

Just seen that, thought it was a typo? He should be absolutely tearing reserves teams to pieces if he is actually playing. Good to see Armstrong back playing too

7 tackles,4 carries for 30 meters. I’m sure he’s got energy left
