Agreed. Not named again for this week. We’d rather play a young centre and Lane/Cator over a quota back rower. Must be one of the worst pieces of business I can remember.

He has to go down as our worst overseas import ever.

I was willing him to succeed but having read the Bulldogs forum it doesn't come as a surprise. Having said that I wish him all the best when he returns home.

I was also thinking he could do alright.
Watched his Dogs appearances and was far from ever being a standout but thought he might go alright for us .
Not gonna happen by the looks of things.

Back in Hull.

He wasn't this bad for the Dogs in a superior league.

Honestly think he doesn't want to be here.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I can’t say I’m impressed with the signing of Hardaker due to his inability to stay out of trouble off the field and his on field abilities aren’t as they once were.
That said we are currently having to fish in a very small pond due to the mistakes made in recruitment since 2018.
We have awful lot to repair and we aren’tin a position to be picky or have top players queuing up due to our pitiful performances over the past 6 years or so.
One good thing is that we have Ellis back on board so hopefully that will have a big affect on Hardaker.
I don’t think we have ever had such a poor side even in the dark days so it is going to take some serious work to get us right and the quota soots we really need to get these right and no more Reynolds, Evans, Ockunbors which have been quite honestly been some of the worst we’ve ever had and in a short space of time.
I do think there is a lot more to come and we will hopefully be happy come 2025as it doesn’t seem lost on Myler that they have to get it right.

Lets see when recruitment is over, still going to be 2 to 4 quota places, plus a few other domestic players to come. Then we can judge Myler on his recruitment.

The quota players are key, if we can bring in another centre,7, 9 and backrow of good quality I think we will be in a decent position.

Missed out on a lot of recruitment because of the timing on Myler/investment.

Nest year is about competing, in every game and having a challenge of 6th position.

The club made a real statement when they signed Asiata
The optimism started to flow and fans were getting excited.
Then they bring us back down to earth with the signing of Hardaker and possibly Holmes.
Would have been better to try and keep those signings quiet until hopefully some quality signings in positions we need were announced.and keep the fans excited.
We went into last season without a decent set of forwards lacking size and fitness and we will go into next season now with a set of p-s- poor backs

You’ve not answered the question, who are we realistically going to sign? For example i much rather we had gone for Ben Davies from St Helens to play centre, but personally I’m still not sure he’s up for it.

If Chan becomes available I’m sure the club would jump to sign him but he’s currently not. There’s a distinct lack of players available so we have to take what we can get for now and look to build. Clubs aren’t going to release their better players for us

They are if we offer them money
