I know it's not about FC but thought he deserved a mention as a great sports icon. For me the best striker we have had. Silky smooth and at his peak the best. RIP Greavsie

Probably priceless, I'm not old enough to have seen him play but my Dad said he was unbelievable and a proper goal scorer and looking at his goal scoring record its hard to argue.

Bit before my time as well, but from what footage I’ve seen he was class. Playing at a time when defenders could tackle you as well, legal or not.

Bravely conquered some demons as well, which is probably an even bigger achievement than anything he did on the pitch.

Aye played when football was a real game unlike today where is a player breathes on someone too hard they go down like they've been shot.

He was a wonderful footballer, naturally gifted, deadly finisher, great character, and extremely entertaining in his tv series, a true legend, RIP Jimmy Greaves
