I placed some fingers over my mouth like all the pro's do nowadays, just in case there's a lipreader in the snug.

Did the bloke in the snug look like he heard you whisper

He told me to tell him something new, whilst rolling his eyes.

I sort of take it easy on Bonaire, I picture him with a wooden leg, the old type that Long John Silver had, and although he wants to come to the dance, he just falls over. :D

If you didn't recognise him by his wooden leg you'd easily spot him wearing one of his super-duper covid masks he keeps telling us all about on here.
Apparently his Uncle Bumpy has fallen out with him for wearing one. :D

How many times do you play Leigh this season ?

Once so far same as you. Who knows with COVID.

You've got Leeds at magic weekend we've got Leigh and I'll take that no doubt. Fair point.

But your regular 3 timers are Salford and Huddersfield ours are Catalans and St Helens. That's the only thing keeping you in a false position in the top 6 surely?

If and when we get to play Leigh 3 times no doubt the picture will change.

We have played Salford once so not sure how that is putting us in a false position.

this is also baffling Hodgsons comment

I thought there was much more to like in tonight’s performance than there was on Thursday (in the defeat against Leeds).

We are still working to be more clinically offensively but we were in the contest and had Bureta (Faraimo) scored in the corner, it would have been a different result. Not necessarily a win but a lot closer than it was.

So yeah, disappointed but at the same time, plenty to like in that performance.

well as fans we didnt see anything different or in fact anything to like in the performance apart from Big Chris Satae.
No mention of our biggest problem once again the poor discipline of the team
The loss of Johnstone for sunday is no miss.
Had Shaul been playing nine he would have been on the shoulder of Satae last night when he made the break down the middle
The sooner he if fit the better

Sorry Bonaire for the rib tickling about Shaul. I can see where you are coming from but I just cannot see it working out. If it happens and it's successful I'll shake your hand (if rules permit) and admit I was wrong.

The Faraimo non score was right in front of me, Great vision by Reynolds. Thought he had a decent game. Agree Saints would have won with a bit to spare no matter.

I can explain that for you. You've beaten Hudds twice and Salford once. They are your 3 timers.

Had those games been against Catalans and St Helens you would have lost the lot and been 6 points worse off.

Hope this helps.

Re: Saints Home : Tue Aug 03, 2021 7:13 pm
Just my point of view of course but Having had time to reflect on the last couple of games I have to conclude that , for all the great games we have seen and the endeavour we have showed this season, we are now back at the Kcom playing in front of our own fans and it is now business as usual.

Successive Coaches, Captains and players have all failed miserably to make our home games anything more than a great day out for visiting teams. Many have over the years openly admitted how much they enjoy playing there; that can't be right can it?

We will never be any good until we value the advantage our home ground should offer us and the passion of our fans and perform with pride and wanting every time we run up that tunnel, Sadly by and large we are a better team when we play away from the Kcom and when you think about it its a strange phenomena as most sporting team have a massive advantage playing at home.

It was never an issue at the Boulevard because the fans and indeed the place put the frighteners on everyone who came to play there but all that changed when we moved home. Its got a lot worse of late and in the last few years it seems that we simply don't have the appetite for the battle as homers, and we certainly don't have it as much as we do the as the under dogs when we travel away. Our new Coach might have made some big strides forward attitude wise in the group but once we were back playing games at the Kcom it became apparent that he can't solve it either. It is becoming the endless enigma.

The Sky commentators have an inherent bias, even though they’ll deny it.
Doesn’t McDermott work for Leeds still?
And O’Connors son plays there. Both ex Wigan players as well.

If you were a casual fan, you wouldn’t notice the poor coverage, but the majority of those watching RL on Sky will be genuine fans of the game, and they can see it for what it is.

Sky will just try and provide the coverage as cheaply as possible, hence Bill Arthur being the main commentator.

Haha 100 % it’s laughable
