Just watched back today and the real turning point was at 0-16 when Saints had a perfectly good try disallowed. Then a shocker of a decision to allow a Hull score after a blatant obstruction from Reynolds.

Those decisions turned a rout into a competitive game . But not for too long, Saints turned it back into a rout again soon after.

Amazing that the Hull squad actually costs more than the Saints squad.

OK it's money Hull don't actually have and is unsustainable according to Adam Pearson but it's still been spent and you'd think you would be getting a bit better value.

Yes I know Rovers lost too. Just be thankful you got Salford 3 times and not Catalans 3 times like Rovers.

Please can you stay on topic Bob. This is a Hull fc forum. We always appreciate your comments but if you wish to discuss Rovers losing I am sure they will be a topic on the Rovers forum on which you can comment.

Updated post;

Please accept my apologies Bob just checked and surprisingly no such topic exists .

Perhaps you could start one and give Hull fans a post match analysis why your team lost?

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Ah, yes, I'd forgotten that one, he's only mentioned it 100 times, it takes a while to sink in.

.... poor old bonaire, I've yet to work out anyone at the club who he actually rates.

We could have the top 30 players in the world, and he'd still be whinging.

I sort of take it easy on Bonaire, I picture him with a wooden leg, the old type that Long John Silver had, and although he wants to come to the dance, he just falls over. :D

this is also baffling Hodgsons comment

I thought there was much more to like in tonight’s performance than there was on Thursday (in the defeat against Leeds).

We are still working to be more clinically offensively but we were in the contest and had Bureta (Faraimo) scored in the corner, it would have been a different result. Not necessarily a win but a lot closer than it was.

So yeah, disappointed but at the same time, plenty to like in that performance.

well as fans we didnt see anything different or in fact anything to like in the performance apart from Big Chris Satae.
No mention of our biggest problem once again the poor discipline of the team
The loss of Johnstone for sunday is no miss.
Had Shaul been playing nine he would have been on the shoulder of Satae last night when he made the break down the middle
The sooner he if fit the better

been making passes like McNamara did that lead to the saints try because he is not a hooker.

Don't forget Griffin to second row. (1791 times).
Poor discipline, and not forgetting we are the only team to make mistakes (793 times).
Thankfully Yeamo retired several seasons ago otherwise he'd still be banging that drum, boring the @rse off everybody.

McNamara threw a few passes out in front like that which the receiving player had to stretch for. Although I couldn't tell if he just wasn't that accurate with his passing or if he was trying to force the first receiver to actually run onto the ball to get a bit of speed to the play rather than taking the pass standing still. I'd like to think it was the latter.

Just whispered it to the bloke at the bar next to me.
I placed some fingers over my mouth like all the pro's do nowadays, just in case there's a lipreader in the snug.
