Is the world about to end, or have we lost a rugby match?

When we lose, it's LR's fault, when we win we're the bee's knees.

His sentiment comes on back of a good beating by Huddersfield and a 2nd half collapse last night.
Painfully slow , players receiving the ball stood still.
Hodgson reasoning about use of bench players tells me he doesn’t think JJ & Scott
are competent enough. If he did , then he’d play them ..
the squad we have are just not good enough.

Anyone else think if Myler had stayed down and the video ref got involved Wynne would have seen red ? I still don’t think he’s out of the woods yet.

My mate goes to see a physio, according to him (physio) Tag isn’t ready to come back.

Should never have resigned Fonua and certainly not on that kind of dosh, we’re stuck with him now. Agree about the ball strips, stupid play.

Houghton playing on past reputation, I feel sorry for the guy getting flogged every week. Why did we let Litton go ? He’s done well enough to earn a decent contract extension at Rovers, same could be said of Abdul.

I’ve never really rated Snyed, far too inconsistent not a Reynolds fan either. Need Shaun back in at full back not hooker, Connor at off half, a new scrum half, new hooker and prop. Need to be looking for any rising stars in the lower leagues as can’t afford all of those in one go.

No idea oh sarcastic one, but as a marquee player it’s not going to be peanuts is it ?

I dunno if he's marquee but it's safe too say he's not earning peanuts, If Josh Jones was on 130k, then Fonuas probably on upwards of that.

Question is is he justifying that type of wage?

he is not justifying half of it
the coach cannot keep bigging him up on this form. Its time for some home truths not just Fonua but also one or two other senior players who seem to be un droppable

I Think Hodgson sees their flaws, but doesn't have many options to drop them especially with the covid situations and injury. Might get away with dropping one or two but the youngsters clearly arnt ready Jude Ferriera/Cameron Scott are the only current backups to Fonua.

The same arguably with Sneyd at times, Houghton, Bowden, I think Hodgson feels Mcnamara, Johnstone and Brown either arnt ready or arnt good enough, time will tell. I feel we have a good team when all are fit as proven early season, but get injurys to 4 or 5 first teamers were pretty screwed as there's no quality depth.

Don't get me wrong I think Brown and Mcnamara will get there but I think Hodgson thinks the senior out of form players will play themselves into form, rather than give a young lad a run in the team

Only my opinion of course.

I'm starting to think for Fonua/Mau/Bowdens wages you could probably get about 5 solid players in who would offer more and add depth, shrewd cap management, we haven't done it in recent years and it's upto Hodgson to correct it.

Cant see Johnstone making it but the coach has to make a statement with senior players that that if their form dips for several weeks they will be replaced.
I know its difficult and i agree with you that he is expecting them to play themselves back into form but its not happening to Sneyd,Fonua Houghton, and particularly Bowden.
It would take a strong coach to drop Sneyd and Fonua but he could do by playing McNamara in his place and Scott for Fonua.
Playing Scott in his natural centre position for several weeks we may see the potential the club obviously sees in him.
Houghton needs to be benched once again and the obvious front row change is Brown for Bowden.
