Spot on. After 2016 my sporting landscape certainly changed.

Everything from that point on is a bonus to me.

I couldn't hear the robin sing if not for you.

Yeah we seem to agree that your expensive squad has failed. It's all downsizing from here.

Rovers are the future of Rugby League in this city.

You have been saying that Rovers will finish above Hull for the last few years.

I'd doubt it's our most expensive squad, look at the in and outside last year and we still have room for another couple of signings, so we aren't even at full cap.

5th in the league and a cup semi coming up, I would have taken that at the start of the year.

Performance wise, we have made improvements, certainly to our defence.

Seems the RFL and Super league see it differently, or surely they would have granted you the academy elite license.

It’s June 1st soon, not April 1st

Didn’t see any Dobbins on this board this time last week.

Yes, times are good and we have reasons to be optimistic. A promising young coach, an energised owner and an elite academy - the only one within sixty miles.

Same as Craig Sandercock was the future of elite coaching in the city according to you. It must be exhausting creating these terminally unfulfilled jam tomorrow scenarios in your head even with a full decade+ of good experience, but still, on a gorgeous sunny day after a big Rovers win you're camped out here at midnight, crying for your dreams to be heard. It must be painful after all the late Morgan era peacocking that ultimately led to relegation, but creeping about on here like a spooky clown goading us after a beating winless Leigh is a pretty good indicator of how much rent free headspace of yours we occupy. :D

I think we all know you'll be spending the Bank Holiday writing some critical assessments of our defeat to the champions in the cup ready to send on Saturday. You've got to be in it to win it of course, so that leaves you with little else to think about next weekend but you could always listen to some folky dirges instead

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Maybe you could remind us all just how is that 5 year plan coming along that Peacock kept going on about?

Quite honestly I’m not that interested in how Rovers are doing or not. I’m pleased we have an owner that wants to invest in the club, we have a new coach that has done a good job so far in getting more out of a group of players than the previous coaches and who has yet to bring in any other signings bar Reynolds and we have been granted an elite academy licence.

So whilst the last couple of results haven’t been as good as we’d hoped the future is certainly bright.

No relegation battle this year. Seasons goal has been achieved. That's a club with ambition.....
