Hoping for a much drier and warmer week and a dry game night against St's.
Possibility that they could be without both first choice wingers with Makinson ruled out and Grace a doubt due to a head knock and short turn around.
Hopefully we have no new injuries, will rest and recover well this week and finger crossed will be boosted in the forwards with the return from injury of Bowden.
Will no doubt be a tough game. Saints will be smarting and looking for a response, nothing but our best performance will do otherwise it'll be a long night.
Defensively we are sound, attack still needs to click but confidence wise the team know they can beat anyone. Just need to sort out our indiscipline.
I'm looking forward to this game , again another measure of our growth as a team. Hopefully a close fought match either way.
It's pretty unlikely we'll beat Saints twice in successive games, and in the grand scheme of things the cup game is much more important. Critical for me is no further injuries or suspensions for the following week, and getting our attack to click hopefully in drier conditions.
Think Saints have been very unimpressive so far this season and have had the easiest start to a season possible.
They fell into the Catalans trap like we did of losing their heads due to the stop start nature of the way Catalan manage a game.
I don't think there is any reason why we cant beat them and just hope we don't give them too much respect at the start of the game like we did to Wigan in the league.

I kind of see what your saying but don’t think this Hodgson coached team would pick games to concentrate on, pretty much like the 2 Wigan games, I think they’ll go all out to win both. As you say hopefully no injuries or suspensions for the cup. Pretty sure the coaching staff will be concerned about the six agains but for the life of me, I fail to see what FC are doing any different to other teams.

Armavinit, as you said about Hodgson I don't think picking & choosing games is in his make up or philosophy and he's said his interviews that is not in his plans and goes out to win each game. Whether we win one, both or neither of the games remains to be seen but I'm sure the focus will undoubtedly be on winning both. St's will always be a tough game but I really do think we have a very good chance as they are not in great form themselves and have probably had an easier start to their season than we have.
Be interesting to see if Regan Grace is ruled out or not for Friday night s game. Hopefully Bowden will be back for us and get some valuable game time before the cup game a week later, Bowden injury update

I'm convinced a player could lay on Fonua for 20 seconds and we wouldn't get a set restart, he has clearly been spotted by refs as a 'milker' so teams can do whatever they want to him.

Yet that's what other teams do (that seem to "earn" set restarts). I notice certain refs who seem seduced by players thrashing around when tackled, throwing their arms up in the air when they get up and complaining. It would be interesting to see the stats on set restarts gained for all teams, to see where we figure.
