Hodgson looks better qualified in terms of the depth and variety of his experience than Radford when he took over and he gave us two Challenge Cup wins. I look forward to what we might achieve with him in charge and am happy with the appointment.
Thanks to Andy Last for what he has done in very difficult circumstances. If he wants to stay he I hope he is happy with whatever position the club can offer; alternatively it may be time to take a bold step elsewhere in which case I wish him well.

Based on the fact that in his coaching career so far he has no history of success

How about you tell me why he will be successful Original post edited

lol he has never failed n his coaching career ? was a top player and man of steel so never failed as a player ? he should bring a more attacking brand of rugby as a former pivot imo so i am optimistic . i remember shaul improving after a couple of training sessions with him under radders so what might he achieve with our Jake ?

Been impressive in the interviews I’ve heard

Doesn’t sound like he’ll take any nonsense and has high expectations. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Here is part of a memo from my sister in Hull who has been, along with my brother -in - law, a Hull pass holder for many decades.

"Feel sorry for Andy Last - he transformed the team since Radford left. Anyway we've got Brett Hodgson and a couple of days since his contract announcement he is already sounding off how good he's going to make FC next season, blar blar blar, wish he would show the fans how good he can make them instead of saying he will, does my head in - rant over."

I have missed details of Hodgson's contract. How long is he here for?

Wait a minute there Fred, I as quite a few presumably on this forum have been season ticket holders for decades as well, and whilst Andy has done a fantastic job in adversity, the majority will agree our whole organisation has needed a complete overhaul for quite some time, unfortunately these situations create collateral damage, and Andy has become the victim of this situation.

But AP as owner must decide the best direction we must take, he pays his money, he takes his chance.
as season ticket holders, we all want the best for our club, time will tell if the right decisions have been made,

Hodgson has a three year deal, and good luck to him.
