Three year deal

I’m glad he’s aiming higher. I’d be worried if he said he would be happy with finishing sixth again. He can’t do too much practically at the moment .

I have missed details of Hodgson's contract. How long is he here for?

So who was this memo too?

My wife and myself. What has that to do with the price of eggs?

I don't think he can" show" anything until March 2021, so until then, like all clubs, we'll have the pre season build up which needs to have a positive tone to engage supporters.

Andy Last.

Spoken like a true Rovers fan, all Last's experience is at Hull, just listen to Hodgsons interview, he has been so proactive in his coaching career, has worked under some too coaches. I think it will do Last some good to move yo another club, maybe the Newcastle job would be good for him to experience another club.

I know a few people who know Andy Last, and they’re outraged at his treatment. I get it. It must be disappointing when you don’t get the gig after being a loyal servant and helping the club in difficult circumstances.

We needed a change though and AP knew that. In truth it should probably have happened two seasons ago and Andy Last is a victim of that.

I did think he’d be an assistant , but AP evidently wants to go in a different direction. Purtill has a lot of experience, and Gaz Ellis is someone we can’t let leave the club.

Well a memo is used in business and so I wondered if this ill thought out rant had been sent to Hull or AP. Thankfully not.
An email is what would have been sent from your sister.
That's as much as it has to do with eggs thank you.

Reading on the Wire forum there is a bit of bad blood between Hodgson and Smith.

Should make the Derby a bit more entertaining

I think bad blood might be pushing it a bit, Smith didn't pick Bert for the 2015 Grand Final after he'd picked up a bad head knock against Widnes in the opening round of the play offs. Ratchford played really well at full back in the remaining play off games and Smith selected him over Hodgson. His wife then took to Twitter to voice her opinions about Smith.

FWIW I think you've made a good appointment, I watched a couple of Warrington's training sessions during Hodgson's time at the club and he called all the shots, he was like a coach on the pitch. I think you'll be a good side to watch next season, he could be the making of Connor (if he listens). Good luck next season (except at the HJ!)

Thanks for the update, some good insight, much appreciated.

I like the sound of Mrs H. She can do our PR in the week leading up to the Good Friday Derby! :D
