He has a job doesn't he, would he give that up or is he allowed to do both, would that be a good idea, I'd want someone who is 100% doing the Hull job.

He has a job on paper but the reality is he'll be coaching nothing for a while yet if he stays in international rl as there simply isnt a game

Wane wouldn't happen as when interviewed for the job, it was for a full time position.

The words of fools mean nothing to one who resides in the truth.

James Ford at York is both more highly regarded and experienced than Hodgson, as is Danny Ward. Unless we plan to make a plethora of signings from the NRL, I see no advantage in taking Hodgson.

More reports circling that Brett Hodgson is looking likely for the job.

Thoughts?
Massive risk and a decision I wouldn't be able to understand whatsoever.

If we are going to NRL route there are more highly regarded assistants such as Dymock, Ciraldo and Cartwright. Hodgson has zero hype over in the Australian media as 'a head coach in waiting'.

Shane Flanagan is far and away the standout person who is available though and even if it was a short 2 year stint I think he would have the same impact as Maguire and Holbrook.

What are Danny Ward and James Ford’s credentials?

Remember the next Coach is replacing one who won two Challenge Cups.

I’d expect to see some substance on our next Coach’s CV. A highly thought of Coach from the top half of the Championship wouldn’t fill me with optimism.

Hull need to be in the Top 4 battling for honours every season, not sat on the fringes and hope for a good cup run.

We need to recruit someone who knows how to win.

100% this, if our ambition is to be a top 4 side you need a coach of a certain caliber. Time for Pearson to actually back his squad with a top quality coach otherwise we are going nowhere. Again.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?
