Gians fan here in peace. In no way gloating but im led to believe there was a few factors in him choosing us over you.

1. Watson would only leave Salford if he could take Greg Brown (S+C Coach) and Marlon Billy. Both Greg and Marlon are Huddersfield lads and Greg was Giants S+C Coach when we won the league leaders but for some reason Paul Anderson wanted rid of him. Hull didn't want to allow Watson to bring his team, the Giants have allowed it. Greg Brown for us is just as big of a signing as Watson in my opinion.

2. Greg Browns business Extreme Conditioning where some of the Salford players who live locally use is right next door to the Giants training facility which gives the team some extra facilities to use during the Covid 19.

3. As a Hull fan pointed out Watsons daughters are doing GCSEs and are settled with friends, the Huddersfield job allows him to stay in his current location with only a 40 minute drive.

4. Huddersfield youth system

Like I said on Friday it could be a while till we get a new coach due to a off field issue at the club . Could be days maybe weeks till it’s sorted , but with that and Watson going to Huddersfield not announced yet maybe they is something still in that , I’m only guessing. But seems strange it hasn’t been confirmed , and with our issue maybe I’m adding 2+2 and getting 5 .

Mentioning "issues" when you can't/won't give details/clues does more harm than good.
