Or, just perhaps, we made the approach a while ago and they needed to solidify their coaching set up for when they start pre season. Whilst we wait for VISA stuff to clear, he is taking on a role away from the first team. Since when did people take what papers said so seriously??

I know, it doesn't exactly fill you with confidence.

I think he was the coach of the Magpies in the NSW Cup, he guided them to a 5th and a 10th place finish over the last few years, but I don't know where they'd expect to finish...

The timings don’t add up.

We tried to get Watson, and failed. I doubt Wests managed to re-jig their coaching roster in such a short time. It seems more like Hodgson became available due to his shuffle rather than the other way around.

Also, I don’t read the papers.

Yes, but after only 16 years of coaching Andy isnt ready yet for a Head Coach role.

Or you could look at it from the perspective of that if he was head coach material, it wouldnt have taken him anywhere near 16 years to land a head coach job?

who ever we get he will get a good slagging of on here from some, wont be good enough blah blah blah, lets wait and see and whoever it is lets give the bloke a chance

He might bring Josh Reynolds over with him. Could solve our 6 issue. Wigan were sniffing earlier on in the season

Indeed. It's funny that people want Craig Fitzgibbon - an assistant with no head coach experience - but are not keen on Brett Hodgson - an assistant with no head coach experience.

If it's BH I'm happy to give him a go.
