yes, they formed a very strong partnership whilst at newcastle, tahu and gidley left though, tahu joined the eels and played centre for them culminating in him playing for the roos at wing and centre i think..whatever happend to gidley is anyones guess!??? :lol
haha
We could sign them both.. i don't imagine they would be on much ££
Didn't last long in union, but i don't think Kath will slacken the purse strings to buy somebody on his wages. These are the top class type of players we could do with
Parramatta may be having a clean out, and Ben Smith could be released after speaking out about Finch leaving the club. He is a powerful 25 year old 6' 3" centre. He had an bad injury, but fully recovered. Due to his size and strength, he has been playing in the second row, to cover for a shortage of experienced players in the forwards.

I like it I don't know if he is exactly what we need... i'd rather have a centre who could cover the wing, not the other way. But beggers can't be choosers! I'd have him anyday

Seems like one or two of the Parramatta players are not seeing eye to eye with Mr Anderson
Was already losing it when he went to yawnion and that move is only going to make him worse. He's injury prone (haven't we had that situation before?) and would be a very risky signing as a player. That is without the financial implications as he wouldn't be cheap with another year on his yawnion contract to pay out.

A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. I think the pace that SL is played does have a lot to do with,it, in Aus the halfback is on the ball at first reciever a lot more often then in SL becuase we tend to go for 5 quick plays.
