I just hope that the poor performance against Cas last night doesn't impact on the overall mentality that has seen us overcome the opposition so many times this year when the performances have been under par. I actually think that they could have won it last night if they'd have switched on with thirty minutes to go instead of fifteen. That was a positive. The fact that they didn't or couldn't was a negative. I have some doubts that we can win one let alone two trophies if we continue to rely on a strong last twenty minutes to get us out of holes we have dug for ourselves in the first place.
Quite a few times this season we have had talk of putting things right that have been costing us during games. Yet there has been little evidence of much improvement as we continue to give cheap possession and territory to the opposition when we should be pressing home an advantage and putting games to be. As much as I think we are more than capable of beating Warrington on the day, it is by no means a foregone conclusion no matter how much we believe it to be our destiny. Taking form, confidence and the right attitude into the final quarter of the season is crucial to any success we might have. As has been frequently stated, we haven’t won anything yet!
In the mean time, bring on Widnes. Come on you Ulllaaahhh!!!
