Was it m/boro in football who did not turn up for a match because they did not have 11 fit players think they got fined n lost points and with this they went down
Salford should be given nowt. If they only have 13 fit players then they can start with no interchanges. Otherwise it should be a forfeit and we get the points.
Salford could be granted special dispensation to bring in 3-4 loan players to fulfil the fixture according to their local journo.
Very unlikely I know but imagine if this happened & Salford beat us. Then at the end of the regular season we finished 9th with Salford finishing 8th 1/2 points above us. The uproar would be huge & rightfully justified. The only thing the RFL can do in my eyes is make them play the game with the players they have available rather then postpone the game or allow special dispensations.
The difficulty is that any team at any given point will have players playing with knocks/jabbed up. Salford will obviously declare all of theirs this week to try and get the game suspended, but we probably have Green, Ellis, Bowden, Whiting, Hadley, Logan, Lancaster out, maybe some others playing with injections, Paea banned, so the underlying difference in availability is maybe less than it appears. Very dangerous precedent to set.
