Think you'll find Vella has a maltese passport, will be dissapointed to see maloney and moa to go at the end of the season and i'm not overly convinced on the rooney rumour would rather us sign a decent centre imo.

No he has to apply to the RFL to become a federation player(a player who learned his trade in this country), a player can only do this in the last year of their current contract, which for Manu is next year. However he wont be classed as a federation player until his contract ends in the November of 2010.

In short, Manu is classed as a non federation player until the end of next season, but has the chance to become a federation player if he chooses to re-sign for Hull or any other super league club from the 2011 season onwards.

Used to love watching him when i was younger when he used to come in the ring and smash feck out of them with his 2x4 and his tongue was sticking out

Strange one by Celtic as he has always looked one of their better players,
Very fast and competant fullback with a good try scoring record,would make a good signing for another SL club but yes hes an Aussie
