Counter argument to skd signing
Many year’s experience at top level rugby
No discipline issues
Has leadership qualities as shown at kr.
We need leaders in the team.
Will be an excellent mentor to the young kids coming through
Durable hardly ever injured.
He’s still faster than Jake Connor so don’t get the lack of pace argument.., his carry out of yardage is very good.
Ooh last one , if he is signing what is his salary??
age 36 .., he won’t be on marquee money in a salary cap sport

I agree he has upsides, the age thing is my major concern. Don't want him to do one season too many

Agree his age could be an issue. Thing is he’s an ultimate professional so if it’s not working out , he’d hold his hand up.
Said this before on here, there’s a very small pool of available talent in rugby league that can readily and easily adapt to SL
We’ve got 2 potentially very good wingers coming through in particular Lewis Martin, under his guidance they could become excellent players.

Should SKD be signed - and I have been told it is already done (but don’t necessarily believe it) - the word is that he would also be involved in the coaching team.

As someone to set the tone RE: professionalism and dedication/attitude, there is definite value in the signing given the malaise within the club; although age of course is a concern, as is using up a previous quota spot.

Seems like TS likes to have people around him who he can trust. He does seem to engender loyalty from people he’s worked with in the past. I presume SKD would be his on field leader, instilling the message and standards.

I’m okay with it if TS is. He’s probably the first decent coach we’ve had since his brother was in charge, and I trust his judgment. His honesty and passion is a refreshing change from the last five or so years. He also seems to “get” the club and its supporters.

He will know what we need to turn it around, and I back any decision he makes, irrespective of any doubts.

Saints have signed Daz Clarke on a 2 year deal according to John Davidson.

Leeming not made the Titans last 2 match day squads. Can't see him staying in the NRL
