What? We played with a ball type loose and were crap. Weve gone to a third prop type and won a trophy and had the most successful year in our SL history. It's a style that obviously suits us.
That said I think Hadley could do that role by being a little of both. But my preference going forward would be hadley as starting 2nd. Mini off the bench. I'd start with Taylor Bowden as props. Watts at loose as 3rd prop as he could pace himself a bit more than at outright prop thus having more mins on field which is better for us as he's a more Xfactor player than our other props. Plus has nice hands to make a pass when needed. Impact player brought in to come off the bench with mini. 2 players capable of changing a game through impact and energy a bit like cas with moors and lefeo

As I said in a previous post under the current way we play no it wouldn't work, that's not radford's style. however I think with the halves we have I think having a SOL or Westerman type 13 (As in the Westerman at Warrington) if used in the correct way would enhance us.
I would honestly rather see hadley in this role as he's a better passer than Westerman and can cover DH if need be. this then means we don't need to carry a lightweight forward like Washbrook to speel or cover for DH and can go with 4 big forwards on the bench for certain games so in fact we are not losing the firepower at all, we just have a player capable of covering a la Washbrook who is younger, faster, can pass and tackle better and the possible flexibility of a ball playing 13 as Washbrook was going to be in his early days.
In fact Thompson was used in this way when he got his start ahainst St.Helens from what i could see.
as for the most successful season, well no it wasn't.
We won one trophy by the skin of our teeth a trailed away badly thereafter with big forwards that were shot to pieces.
Having a mix of mobile forwards and some grunt is most desireable especially during the warmer weather and for better overall endurance.
I don't see it happening but I think a ball handling 13 if we change how we play makes us a better team.
