I just said it might, not that it will. People are allowed to ask questions when it comes to Whiting you know, it's not a criticism.

I appreciate that, I just feel it would help if the questions were somehow relevant.

I realised as soon as I got into this conversation how it would end, but I wandered into it all the same. Maybe I love him.

So moving into the pack on a permanent basis doesn't affect your workrate that might tell as the season develops?

Nope not relevant at all.

Anyway......Whiting was great against Rovers and has been all season, I sincerely hope he keeps it up.

There's been no indication that the workload has been a problem from his performances. Sure, it might become a problem one day in that anything that can happen might happen, but it doesn't seem any more likely than any other possibility, and less likely than most.

I wouldnt say Whiting has been outstanding, he has just been Whiting his usual self. You could count hisporr games in his FC career on one hand and struggle to find 5

The way him and Aspinwall have played and shared that roll has allowed Ticks and Manu toplay the 80 more effectively imho.

He is turning into an excellent back rower and we should sign him up now, he makes good yards and his defence is solid, he also does some great offloads.

Re: Rich Whiting : Sun Apr 08, 2012 9:31 am
Washbrook looked the real deal when he first broke into the first team, in fact there were plenty on here (including me) saying that he'd be a future club captain.

Whether it was Agar who stifled his development or that he simply failed to lived up to the early hype, I don't know. When he was released at the end of last season it was the right decision. However if Whiting had been released it would have been a terrible decision. He is a real 100% player and never lets us down. Hopefully he'll be around long enough for his testimonial in a couple of years, which will be hugely deserved.
