The board or the players?

I'd think they'd snap up the chance of extra revenue personally.

I think when FC are on Sky and one of our players is voted MOM and asked who's charity is going to receive the £100 then they should say "Hull KR ground fund"

Let the dobbins rot as they would us in the same situation and have done in the past.

Let Allam bail them out as east hull needs a badminton stadium.

As for ground sharing, I hear Wakefield are after a new stadium and their coach likes Hull.

Just looking it from a Rovers perspective, I wonder whether their fans would follow them and if so what gates they would average?

On one hand I think their support might drop, however on the other hand with better facilities, all sides under cover etc their crowds may go up.

If they do move in, I think it will become permanant as I can't see them wanting to move back to NCP and having all that upkeep and re-development work.

Re: hull kr to move in : Sun Feb 05, 2012 5:44 am
Let's be honest, KR are a small club, they cannot manage over 9,000 when their ground is in their "heartlands", moving to the KC would be more expensive, and if even 20% of their fans found the move unpalettable then they'd really struggle to afford the rent.

This story is about KR attempting to put pressure on the council, a council that have much higher priorities in terms of civic/corporate responsibilities than a loud mouth ambulance chaser and a dodgy bloke from Egypt, and if KR think HCC are in any position to try and bulle the various EU establishments that are allocating the monies then I suggest Grudgell and co have a think, which is more important, Caravan Park or the Siemens Energy Park?

I know which I'd rather the council concentrated on.

If I suggested that you'd rather the council spent £8.2million filling in a single pot-hole with solid gold than on the development at Craven park, would you deny it?

Sounds like it's all on again anyway, so as were were. Prezza's being drafted in as a a go-between.

I reckon Rovers need a £500k p.a. uplift in profits every year to break even, ie to cover the current losses and the incremental outgoings on £2m quid of loan repayments plus additional operating costs. That's a lot, isn't it?

I certainly wouldn't be wanting to take on a loan of that size, having racked up losses of about £2m already, on the strength of an imagined public demand to see Scott Murrell and Jason Netherton currently constrained only by lack of capacity. One-eyed optimism? I guess we'll soon find out...anyway, the reliable Hull taxpayer is on the hook for payment defaults by any of the proposed tenants.

I suspect this story is a load of old tosh which may be designed to put pressure on the council / whoever is stopping KR develop their stadium.

All 3 Hull teams playing out of 1 stadium sounds like a sensible decision on paper, but I don't think the pitch could hack it, and KR fans would not want to move to West Hull.
