FC obviously did not appreciate what they had with Hodgdon.
Yes they did have chances at FC but seem to be showing what they can do with a decent coach. Ward at Broncos and Smith at Rovers. Abdull had an excellent season in London. Unfortunately injury has limited his chances with us. Time will tell if it was a one off on Thursday but the three matches we’ve played since lockdown give cause for optimism each one better than previous one. Not an improvement that FC have shown so far.
Hodgson from an FC perspective was just one of those things. I'm sure every club has examples of players being released who go on to much better things. At time we had Shaun Berrigan a recent Australian international and State of Origin regular plus Danny Houghton coming through a year or so ahead of Hodgson. We signed Heremaia a couple of seasons later who was happy to be an interchange hooker, Hodgson may not have been so keen had he stayed.
As you say, time will tell re: Abdul and Litten but I say honestly I don't see them as anything other than steady Eddies who (no offence) may stand out in weaker sides.
