Hmmm.....10 fans from Toulouse at away games, or 10 fans from London. Tough one

Or, marketing teams could do what they are paid for and try fill the grounds...we have 15k empty seats in our ground most weeks, fill those before moaning about a lack of away fans

Lets be honest the only teams that really benefit from away fans are the ones that have Hull or Rovers visiting. Neither of the Hull clubs benefit from away support as the number of fans that travel to the East are pretty poor and have been for sometime.
Exactly. I'm just challenging fosdyke's post about lack of fans from Toulouse coming over when there are multiple teams you can label that to.
We shouldn't be relying on away fans, no club should. If a SL club can get good home attendances, that should be the starting point, not how many they take away

Obviously you are entitled to your personal opinion (as we all are), but to describe your comment as short-sighted is an understatement!
From our perspective, I have a feeling that in 2024 we will have a good deal more to worry about than how many opposition supporters are sat in the North Stand.
Have to say I agree that it would appear that Fev are very much mis managed at the top. The decision to sack Long would seem to have backfired and had a negative affect on the team at such a late & pivotal time in their season. Think they've once again blown their best chance in years to gain promotion and a chance that is unlikely to come again for many years.
As for London or Toulouse back in SL, for me purely on a marketing aspect for the game as a whole I'd say London would be the preferred option for me. I know many will read that and think I'm nuts but if the RFL & IMG pull their fingers out they could really maximise the benefit of a team in the South within striking distance of the capital city. Of course for London as a club they would have to improve, grow and invest in infrastructure and have a proper plan for the future, maybe with time they could achieve success in being a competitive side in SL.
Toulouse are the club that have the best chance a making good fist of being competitive relatively quickly are a settled established club and seem to be well run. However there doesn't seem to be much hunger in the media or wider field outside of the RL world for French clubs in SL. If Toulouse are successful in gaining promotion it will help the game in France and generate more publicity but not sure if Toulouse in SL will benefit the sport off the field greatly.
Well, I agree with that and would add that when you consider the signings made by Wakey in the last two months of the season all of whom appear to be on retention contracts, the feeding frenzy of late signings in that season, the activity of Castleford and others in the market and the lack of transfer fees and the availability of anything like class players right now I pity any club trying to build a team for next season. I guess that actually vindicates IMG's no relegation policy, because whoever came up this year were destined to Yo Yo again for me.

If we had to travel to France every couple of weeks, how many people do you think would go. People aren't made of money whether they're English or French so your argument is not valid.
