Fingers crossed he has. Must be hard for him being paid decent wages for way to long and all of a sudden clubs are offering him minimum wage, so now his comfortable lifestyle paid for by FC for way too long is being challenged and about time.

Currently discussing another extension to his FC career and fully deserved too, lad had done absolutely nothing wrong, and is quite possibly the hardest grafter in the side , never going to go full length but does all the ugly stuff very well, similar to Radford etc
hope he stays and its looking likely

Are you serious? i get the feeling and i've only just started posting on here that you are a wind up merchant, no FC supporter would go out of there way to defend him, my gut feeling about you is your a Rovers supporter pretending to be an FC supporter because that would explain a lot of your over the top defence of Agar and average players at FC.

I hope I can be proven otherwise but you are definately a wind up merchant, fair play to you but every post of yours I read is so predictable and unfortunately is so biased and defensive of poor coaches and average players that i am absolutely convinced your a Rovers supporter on wind up!

It amazes me when people have a pop at Dowes. He's a seasoned pro who loves the club and will be on relatively low wages. He's value for money, he's already taken a large pay-cut this season.

Unfortunately, we can't populate our four prop positions with four international standard players. We need players like Dowes, who whilst on a lower salary than the likes of O'Meley/Morley/Graham/peacock etc, are more than capable of coming off the bench and doing a job.

Some of our fans believe that because he doesn't scatter defenders he's rubbish. Fact is, top props who can scatter defenders are hard to find and expensive, and I don't know of any available at the moment.

Dowsey's defence is pretty good, he doesn't seem to make many errors or give penalties away and gets a quick play the ball. He's made a fair few offloads and tackle busts this year too.

Unless Dowsey can be replaced by someone better and who takes up the relatively low cap space that he does (?), I would be happy to see him given another contract.

Would he get in the Pies/Wire/Saints/Hudds 17? no he wouldn't and top 4 is what AP expects, Ewan Dowes, Jesus another contract we really are a charity if we give him an extension, a prop who never breaks a tackle yet some want to give him contract extensions, God help us.

Broken plenty of tackles this year.

What a load of old balony, and there in lies one of the reasons we arnt a top 4 side and light years from being one, the guy wouldnt get within a miliion miles of Wigan / Saints / Wire squads. Hopefully AP will see sense and offload,
