I can see the rationale for this being true, but at the same time it would be sad news. Fantastic servant of the club for over a decade, hope a suitable send-off is arranged if correct.

When whiting signed for FC did Andy Bailey signed same time from featherstone ( what happened to bailey anyway)

Clever lad was Bailey qualified solicitor last I heard he was working for a Manchester solicitors setting up a sports law practice.

As for Whiting, if its true, it would be a sensible move for him (as he said to me when he went, he didn't want to go to Leigh but he is at an age when he wants to try and secure first team rugby on a regular basis which we couldn't guarantee), but it would be a sad, sad day for the FC and as Mrs B says we need a proper send off for him if true.

Hope it is true in some ways - will struggle to get a game in front of Hadley, Thompson et al and there are top class second rowers in front of them. If he gets a deal it will keep him in the playing side of the game which can only be good. As Mrs B says if true then hope the club give him a proper send off been a superb club man and player for us.

He's been a great servant to the club - Yeamo now the last of the class of 2005?

Sad day. One of my all time FC heroes is Rich Whiting. Rarely put a foot wrong in a variety of positions, did everything numerous FC coaches asked of him in 12 years. Also a consummate professional having no doubt been subjected to working with players over the years who were less so. Best of luck Rich.

Is this the new Hull FC, no longer keeping players on the books for sentimental reasons?
