So are you saying Bennett is no longer interested in winning anything and only went to Newcastle for the money?
Are you saying other "top" coaches are the same?
If so why should we appoint someone like that? What would be the point? We might as well stick with Agar! Or appoint someone young and hungry for success.
Why would Bennett leave a team packed full of internationals, and move his family from Brisbane to Sydney to coach the Dragons?
Then after winning the Grand Final, with the Dragons, Why move to the Knights, who their new owner is, one of the richest guys in Australia?
Anderson and Folkes yes, offer them serious money and let them re-build the club over 4/5 years.
Smith I dont think would want to come back, would be a decent pull if you could get him.
I am not sure the club needs a Coach to come in and try and win things. They need someone to come in and change the whole outlook and build for winning things in three years time with a young hungry squad that can play on for years. Just my thoughts, many others will want instant success.
That is exactly what i want. I dont expect it to turn round overnight but i want a whole new ethos at the club that will hopefully reap rewards from year three onwards
Same reason as the Crusaders players wanted rid and the Wigan lot I imagine.
To answer the question of why he would care if Noble was there next year or not, his exact words were "The boys have been given assurances we are not getting Noble in"
His attention to detail is freakish, his tip sheets take hours to compile and his scrutiny of the oppo team leaves nothing unturned.
Until outside interference he held a very happy and very solid dressing room for a long time.
KR spent £60,000 on Sports Science this year with the Uni, including paying the fee's of two students, something I believe was a unique idea at the time. He is also a massive advocate of S and C being the biggest job at the club and Rovers were one of the first using GPS I think.
I honestly feel that given Hull FC's squad, budget, outstanding facilities and Chairman, Morgs could turn Hull into a top 6 side almost immediately looking at how close they have come to getting it right several times this season.
However I dont see him being offered the job because Pearson knows a big name is needed to sell season tickets.
He has just bought a house in Kirkella though so who knows
His quoted 1 month prep for the Saints cup game dint pan out that well did it?

Totally agree.
I would like somebody to change our style of play totally in attack & defence and a killer instinct, same as Maguire and Brown did, in one pre-season.
The main thing, is the youth, bringing them through to first grade.

IMO Bennett is challenging himself. Obviously he did great things at Brisbane, but rather than rest on his laurels he wanted to prove he could do it elsewhere too. He picked a team who were starting to become a running joke and ended their choker reputation with the win last year, now he's done that he's moving on again. He's gone to one of the teams with the longest runs without a grand final appearance, so I think it's about testing himself as much as the money. He could go almost anywhere and command big wages, but I think he seems to choose clubs with targets to achieve in mind.
