I am absolutely convinced that we won't make another signing before the season begins (although I hope I am wrong, as our squad looks painfully thin). We seem to be scrambling around now to cover our halves, but in all honesty which team is going to allow any of their players to leave at this late stage?

I have to agree. The worrying thing is since the end of 2009 we've released 15 senior players (Tony, Calders, Bryne, Raynor, Thorman, Codobra, Berrigan, Hodgson, Yak, G. Horne, Thackray, King, Maloney, Burnett, Hall) and signed just 6 (Fitzgibbon, O'Meley, Turner, Long, Westerman and Sharp). Obviously the quality of the second list is a lot better than the first, and we've had a few youth players come through and establish themselves (Briscoe and Houghton) but it's still a worrying stat IMO.

alot of turd in that list that needed releasing ASAP....
