One big top drawer rough-booty prop would be fine to go with Dowes, Hame, Moa, Thackray and Maloney. Maybe a Ryles type prop, I would be very happy with our front row and we would probably have a little left over.
We've yet to see whether Moa and Maloney will make it in Super League. The signs look promising for Moa, but it's far from certain that he'll make the grade. Maloney hasn't even played a single minute in the first team yet.
Lauaki will be a good addition if he ever gets here, but it's not to say he'll be used as a prop anyway.
Even if he is, that only leaves him, Dowes and Thacks who are proven at the highest level.

Let's face it, for next season we will need a fullback, centre AND scrum half.
None of which will be remotely relevant if our forwards are getting bumraped by the opposition.

Our front row with a new top drawer prop + Hame, Moa, Dowes, Thackray and Maloney would be the least of our problems. We STILL need a scrum half and centre, and that is without even starting on Peter Blunt's brainstorm at fullback
Why does Tommy Lee continue to be on our bench ???? I cannot understand it. If he is deemed to be not good enough for the starting 13, what on earth does he offer from the bench ?? A 20min tackling spell ???

As I've pointed out, it's not always that easy to get a top drawer prop. There aren't that many about who are available. Even if we did, that would leave the new prop, Dowes, Thackray and Lauaki (for the sake of argument). What if one or more of these got injured? Moa and Maloney are unproven. I can't understand why you would want rid of Cusack, but to keep Maloney and Moa who have yet to establish themselves at the top level. Did he poke your Mrs?

We definitely need a scrum half, but if he's playing behind a beaten pack it won't matter how good he is.
