I don't think anyone writing him off . Hes a talent no doubt. But like most youngster's needs to iron out a few flaws. Imo a loan spell would benefit all round. Unless injuries hit can't see him getting much game time at FB. Also not keen playing him on the wing as that's just stopping our young wingers. Needs to get playing FB

Not often we agree but unless we and several other S/L clubs enter a team in Division one so that we have a meaningful weekly reserve fixture then he needs to go out on loan as a full back and not just a filler playing on the wing one week and benched the next.
He is not a winger. The club should concentrate his development as a full back.
My only concern is whether he can be coached into adding link play to his game and im not so sure it can

Yeah I'd agree his link play has to improve, but that could be a confidence thing, coming into a team and stamping authority on plays must be hard, but more so for a younger player, so maybe that side of his game is yet to come. When he was on his game, he was often one of our better performers, so there is hope for him, but as things stand, third choice fullback, when Truman is fit, so a loan spell, at one of the better quality championship teams, hopefully, may well see this development.

His strengths are running

Think we should be playing off the cuff next season try something different as going to toe to toe with saints wigan at their own game doesn't work that often

Off the cuff plays are hard to defend like rovers did other year ( they were awful on paper but scored loads of trys )

See Leigh have signed Moylan. Good pick up, but it's another 30+ year old added to that back line.

They're running with another skinny squad again. Will they be so lucky with injuries in 2024? I'm not so sure

He is great when he's fully on it, but has had a fair share of long term injuries too, and was so out of form for Cronulla, that he lost his place to Trindell . It is sort of Adam Dykes signing isn't it? What you get is quality but usually not quantity. If he stays fit, a great signing but I don't think he'll be durable enough to play every game for them. Leigh were very fortunate as you say, last year and injuries will bite at some point, inevitably with an aging squad.

Its a gamble, but on paper you would have to say that its a big upgrade on Ben Reynolds.

Wondered how long it would take for a tetchy Leigh fan to pipe up

Guess we'll find out this time next year if Beaumont has wasted him money.

Is he an upgrade on Reynolds? Absolutely. But I don't think you'll get a full season out of him. I'd be a bit bothered with signing another 30+ year old with not much cover
