I'm very happy with AP, PG and SMc and I'm sure they will do a great job for us, however going for Lopini and possibly ending up with Amor is underwhelming. And for the posters saying we can't have a team of Superstars is a load of rubbish, in my eyes all the top teams have a lot more superstars and until we match them we will be behind them. Also we have a lot of good players leaving and AP said said they will be replaced by better, let's hope it comes off or there WILL be a lot of peeved off fans.
Was Ben Westwood a superstar when he left Wakey?
Was Zak Hardaker a superstar when he went to Leeds?
Point is these players become better when in a better environment, so i've no problem with us signing "journeymen" and letting Gentle work with them. Watts was a very naughty boy from Cas at one point and is now looking great. Aspinwall had looked average and people are now saying give him a new contract.
The salary cap and the quota says we can't have a team of superstars, otherwise it would be open season with Wire getting the superstars based on their backer and the rest of us picking up what was left.
As I said before I'd rather have a team of players who want to play for FC and are enthusiatic, decent players, than be tripping over egos when I arrive at the KC as we slip to another defeat before they all head out on the lash thinking they're bigger than the club.
