Nail on the head, he hasnt put a performance in at centre since signing for Wire. Its all good and well being a good winger in Oz when you feed on a cross kick to use your height and score but i dont think he is suited to the British game or the centre shirt.

While it wouldn't make me think differently really, didn't he play centre at Melbourne in the end?

His best performances have always come on the wing, he just does not look like turnig the corner form wise and imo we have better options than Matt King and if we were to sign a centre from down under I would want better than him. Maybe he just won't make it in SL, not every overseas signing does.

There could be a millions different reasons why players don't settle and play well for clubs. Danny Tickle was crap in his last season for Wigan. We signed him and he ended up taking a lot of the awards by the end of the season. Raynor, Carvell, Thackray and Dowes weren't good enough for Leeds, Thorman let go by Huddersfield, Calderwood let go by Wigan, we have signed many players discarded by clubs and they havent done too badly

But its harsh to just judge him one one full season and the start of another one, and not take his full career into account. If he had been poor for a few years then fair enough

Yes I agree but we are talking about signing him right now, imo he has not proved himself over here and I would not want to take the risk with him.
