I'd love to see examples of deluded fans who can see no wrong.
There is a difference between those can see some positives and those who see none, myself along with all other posters on here no the negatives of the club, for example for me, the backrow including the LF position is a real weakness, but if you look at the in and out goings I can see many positives
Only real losses for next season IMO are Clifford, Griffin and Swift.
Walker for Wynne, Pele for Taylor, Balmforth for Dywer, Smith for Mcnamara, Ese'Ese for Satae, Okunbor for Savelio and Ashworth for Evans can all be potentially seen as upgrades IMO.
Swift won't be replaced like for like, but if we can get a backrower and Clifford at the same or better standard than Griffin and Clifford, we will be stronger next season.
Add into this, attitudes which can't be measured and more experienced assistant coach, i think we will do better next year, maybe not by much, but hopefully see us move up the table.
Good post Dave.
I'd be happy with Cust. Thought he was very good for Wigan last season before his injury. Plus would be good cover for hooker too.
I have a feeling Hoy won't be here next season, I don't know why but from what i've seen of him he doesn't look either happy or settled. I may be well wide of the mark but it wouldn't surprise me at all and the signing of Walker only makes me more suspicious.
People have been saying that about about Hoy all season. I think he's just got one of those faces
He said "Lessons learnt, see you next year" last week on his Instagram account.
Feel like they'll be some who are disappointed should we sign Cust but for me think he would be a solid signing. Got age on his side and has shown glimpses in SL what he is capable off when free of injury. Provides good cover for Hooker too should we need. It isn't the type of signing that will wow people but one that could go under the radar.

Shows how fickle fans are doesn’t it. He was highly thought of in Aus and seen as a real coup for Wigan. Decent first season at Wigan before injuries effected his second year.
You don’t become a poor player over night. We should sign him on a year deal with option of a second if we’re interested. Lets us keep options open and provides extra motivation for him.
Nowt in the Cust to us story..... never rated him anyway
Anymore left, really think it will be a real left field signing like Ese Ese, Walker and Okunbor.
Reported that Leeds are offering Salford £200K for Croft, that's one hell of a fee to pay out which I think shows how difficult it is in recruiting quality halves in SL at present.
Still feel that with what has been said by both TS and Clifford we may well see him return if he isn't getting any first team opportunities next season.

ATEOTD Smith knows he needs a halfback , so if we don't manage to get one, it will not be because we haven't tried, so the signing of Smith, however underwhelming it may seem may prove invaluable and, if he can cover for Truman in the short term and Houghton when Truman returns, we may have done some good business there, with more to announce?
