It’s fine hiding behind a clear out, but his side doesn’t play with any type of identity.
No discernible improvement in performance. Some like Lane are even worse since he took over.
We’re in serious trouble next year at this rate.
It’s difficult isn’t it, AP must be thinking wtf have I got to do, stick or twist, almost unbelievably start again, or back the policy of Hodgson. I just haven’t believed in him since his arrival, no improvement, well as MW says a slight improvement on D at the very beginning of Brett’s tenure, it didn’t last long, there’s been some reason behind this slump, big names missing through injury, bad injuries as well the likes of Sav, Carlos, Tag, Griffin, some coming back seemingly finished, form lost, pace disappearing. Swift Cator Mau all gone for long periods,
Gale inexcusably banned for foul play too often, and his very poor performance in all but a few matches, the demise of our once great front row forward Taylor, a shadow of his former self, and the superb Danny Houghton as time finally catches up with our midfield dynamo. All these factors are not the blame of Hodgson.
But the absolute ludicrous signing of Reynolds, and the amount of time it took before anyone AP Clarke or Hodgson realised he was finished, was also inexcusable, there’s no hiding place for the great Gaz Ellis either, our defensive coach has produced an almost alter ego on his protégés, we can’t tackle for toffee. Good that Gaz.
What the hell do our conditioning team do for forward planning and preparation, I’ve never known our club have so many lower leg injuries, there must be something wrong with the grass we’re running on.
James Clarke he just appears to be a yes man, overseeing this debacle without the confidence to shout out that it’s going down the pan AP, and a few Nigerians, whether they can run faster than lions ain’t going to fix it.
Recruitment has been crap since Motu went, Reynolds, Gale, Jones, Johnstone, I’d throw in Swift, Tosh, and the perpetually injured Mau as well.
Players with a bright future seemed to have regressed, Wynne, Lane, Big Chris and Ligi have gone backwards under Hodgson control. Indeed Lovudoa our hooker replacement we all know we needed, never plays there, apparently he doesn’t want to, wtf and when he does, bang ten minutes gone for the season, it’s a long continuous bad luck story.
Hodgson has to go, I’d put Shenny in charge till the end of the season, and see if we can tap Wane up after a disastrous World Cup, And hope AP can relight the fire of our complete organisation by cutting loose as many failed personal whoever they may be.
I will always support my team regardless of how very poor we are, it’s our club.
