A tough few decisions ahead, we know Naulago and Kelly are going, do we use them or use the side we are likely to have next season, with no P&R (as yet unconfirmed, but what I expect) and no clarity for the CC getting going again not easy, also Ellis, should we start getting the replacements playing? Is Jones staying, Houghton, Shaul....?
I know AP said he thought only Albert and Ratu are leaving, but nothing is signed and sealed on the others (that we know of)
Injuries are bound to hit and with fifteen Super League rounds (play-offs not particualrly likely but who knows) plus at least one Challenge Cup fixture within four months the squad will get stretched and the likes of Wynne, Faraimo, Swift, Johnstone, Cator and Brown will get their chances especially with a handful of midweek games to fit in.
It is difficult, especially the wingers but I think I'd go
Shaul Naulago Tuimavave Griffin Fonua Kelly Sneyd Taylor Houghton Satae Jones Ma'u Sao
Connor Bowden Savelio Ellis
Tough on Faraimo who has shown loyalty but Naulago just offers that X Factor. I'd keep Connor on the bench, Griffin was our form player pre-lockdown and Tuimavave is our best centre.
Yes would agree with all that. Griffin cited as the form centre in the comp pre lockdown. I thought there might be a question on Connor's fitness?

Thats a great starting 17, should be competing, hearing good things about Andy Last, what a great opportunity to show what hes about with this squad

What have you heard? A very tough gig for him IMO, obviously no head coaching experience and probably starting his tenure in 9th place out of 12 if Wakefield win one of their 2 games in hand. All clubs likely to be full strength or thereabouts?

Like you, I don't understand the "hearing good things", Andy hasn't been with the squad for 3 months, as you say, a tough task ahead.

I mean, he might be brilliant, but we don't know. Let's remember he has spent his whole career at Hull FC so has narrower experience than pretty much every other coach and no security of tenure with the original intention that this would be an interim appointment. He's inheriting a bottom 4 position and had no face to face time with the squad. I hope he smashes obviously it but we need to be realistic.

A lot of my customers are big hull fc fans, I even allow rovers fans, but rugby fans that know a lot of people close to the players and families. And when i’ve Spoken my concerns about going with Last which I wasn’t happy about, been told by to many people with similar positive opinion of last, that I’m thinking he deserves a chance, especially under the current circumstances. Man management superb, knowledge 2nd to non, never really been giving the chance to implement his ideas, just a lot of positive stuff about the guy. Sorry if you was looking for something more scientific or groundbreaking
