Nothing in the Westerman rumour and Pratt not happening either apparently.

The signing of Sailor (which was confirmed on this forum) makes up for this.

Why not give Staveley or Armstrong a run at 13 instead of buying an unprofessional in Westerman, smacks of desperation.

Would much rather we blood youngsters than sign the types were trying to move on

Pretty sure alot of the players incoming will be good professionals with the correct mentalitys and work ethic.

Smattered with some promising youngsters like Jebson, Armstrong, Staveley, Litten amongst others

its not a position you just stick anyone in as we have found with playing Cator,Fash,Lane and Houghton there.
Westerman would have been ideal for us for a season.

Staveley played in the halves until he was about 16 when he moved to 13. He’s the perfect option for a ball playing loose. Also massive compared to Cator

So our recruitment is looking like this Ese’ese - step up on Evans

Pele - looks more devastating than Satae

Okunbor - anyone a step up on Joey and Lane right now. Plays every week.

Ashworth - grand final winning prop who is also a step up on Evans

Tindall - huge shoes to fill but has age on his side

Smith - better than Dwyer and Ben Mac in one player.

Diakhate - I imagine he will sign and looks a unit, bit of a project

Oil Pratt - don’t know loads about him but young cover

Quota 7/6/1/9 - who know who or what this will be. Likely sailor who has a spark

Domestic back row - assuming we’ll bring someone in, probably from the champ

When you break it down, our weaknesses this year has been the lack of size in the pack. You certainly won’t be able to say that next year. With DH going around again I’d be content with the side if we can sign a handy 7 and a backrower to give lane a spell in the reserves.

Not exactly as doom and gloom as everyone is making out

But the forwards coming in are the replacing like for like

Satae taylor Griffin and savelio are the ones they are replacing

Lane and cator will still play

You mentioning Evans in 2 categorys just shows how much clutching at straws it all is

As it stands we are weaker next season

Clifford and swift haven't been replaced and are our best players by a country mile

I'd take him like a shot. Use the last quota spot on a second row forward.

Not totally against it, not dynamic but has a good kicking game and is an organsier, wouldn't be too bad with the running threat of Hoy and Walker.

Still have Hoy and Trueman as first choice.

That would give us Smith, Russel, Hoy and Truman as our halfback options. If we could add another overseas backrower of good quality we should have a very good pack to play behind. 2016 showed you don't need two top halfbacks to be successful you have a strong pack.

I can't see him leaving Hudds to be honest, Watson seems to rate him. He's always banging on about him.

Could be a cap decision, they must be close, losing a couple of homeground players who will have given them cap exemptions too.

Could also be the player, with Fages moving, he maybe doesn't want to be a backup.

It's a move that comes with benefits and I could see why he would be signed, but it wouldn't pariculary excite me.

The other thing is that mainly Hudds have been playing a really structured game, maybe a bit more freedom under Smith would bring his game out.
