Catalan need a centre to replace Keighran, their new assistant solely recruits hull FC / ex hull FC players....

If Newman did become available (which I don't think he will) there will be more attractive offers than us for him to pick from unfortunately.

Certainly wouldn't be against Westerman coming back but surely he's one player who will be staying at Cas with them having a clear out.

TS is trying to get rid of the divas and pub trainers so it’s a definite No
to Newman and Westerman.
The likes of griffin was also a pub trainer.
Said this before wigan & saints are the template, they ship this type of player out.
Even our beloved dobbins are learning this. I know fans are desperate but we don’t want those type of players at our club.

It sure does - been away for a few weeks, came back expecting some positivity on the recruitment front, but reading that list even 10th in the league looks a bit ambitious!. Really disappointed.

No real quality, no leader, it really looks like poor/ lazy/easy option recruitment. Hope i'm wrong & Adam announces two or three gems before the pass sales are announced or he'll have hell of a job moving them.
After the positivity generated last close season - recruiting Smith -2 good halves (at last) - huge clearout (at last). But this close season retention & recruitment wise is turning into a real dogs breakfast.

You can't just get rid of players, it costs money, we don't have money and if we did I'd rather we use it to sign players, rather than pay players off, also what message does that send, come to Hull, underperform and get a nice little payoff to travel Europe.

So far I think our recruitment has been OK, got some size and power, added depth to fullback and halfback, the big issue is, I'm not sure if would be enough to move us onto the next level and we are losing (or lost) some quality in Swift, Griffin, Savelio (lesser that the others) and Clifford.
Satae has been replaced, maybe Savelio, but not the other three. If we brought in McMeeken, Mcgilvary and Volkman plus the others, I don't think we would be in too bad a position.

Some players moving clubs may still be involved in the playoffs and for what ever reason , Player or club might not want the distraction till after the comp has concluded . This has happened before .
