To improve you first have to admit something is wrong and after a long time down the wrong road with Tony Smith you have made a start.

For your own sake though don't appoint McDermott. Like Smith he is yesterday and has a difficult personality which inevitably rears it's head eventually.

Unless he's changed and learnt from his time at Newcastle in the NRL

I wouldn't be against that to be honest, maybe until the end of the season, he's British, has a kicking game and can kick goals. He's not kicked on from his early promise but he's better than what we currently have and could give Charles a break who's still a baby.

Totally agree.
At this stage of the season , in both Australia and England, its very difficult to recruit players and coaches, unless a contract has been terminated.
Also,we need to be patient in the appointment of a new Manager, making a rash decision now, even if the appointment is not until next season ,could be disastrous .
personally im happy with Grix until end of the season, then see who becomes available.

I'm not a massive fan of Richardson, like Russell seems a poor man's Sneyd.

Is he better than Smith though, debatable, but do we have to lose.

I'd be amazed if we don't sign him, unless London get him.

This is a complete curve ball but would it be worth trying to tempt Sinfield away from yawnion. Don't suppose for a minute he'd bite but if you don't ask, you don't get. Massively respected in the world of sport and would certainly draw positive attention.

Ah, I managed to read it once.

Says we are after Briers and that the Broncos wouldn't stand in his way should he want to come. Also quotes one of their players as saying what an influence he's been.

Also mentions McDermott as a candidate.
