I think it's more likely that Clints new deal has 'influenced' the rumours TBH. If a decission had been made we would know now. For the record, I can't see him coming, unfortunately.

I have mixed fellings, as an RL fan I would love to see any top quality player in the UK, but I fear his addition will give you a big boost in the pack and therefore hope he doesn't. It will be interesting how 'big' the first collision will be between him and Clint on Good Friday though.
