I’d be amazed if any player gets punished this week.

The RFL know they messed up with Harry Brown last week and will know the sending off of Nu Brown was wrong too. It ruined last nights match and the all the media and fans are now talking about cards and bans, instead of the matches.

Regarding Lane.
His stats were 53 tackles..
We’ve lost our 2 best defensive players n Houghton and cator.
He’s no liam Farrell or Liam Martin.
Its like I’ve said previously on here
He’s playing in a beaten pack.

But Liam Moore said,”direct and forceful contact to the head with no mitigation “ The RFL have set the standards and they’re just bloody minded enough carry it through. Think he’ll get a few games ban personally. The match revue commission will be pouring over the footage from this week’s games and dredging all sorts up.

Hoy, Brown and Sutcliffe under threat this week.

Realistically none should get a ban, but you never know.

The tackler on Sutcliffe should get a match, as no in game punishment.

The RFL Disciplinary have now backed themselves into a corner. In one hand they have to uphold their player safety stance, however there’s poor and inconsistent decisions that clubs can use in mitigation.

For instance, based upon the Ese Ese 2 match ban, Donaldson must get a two match ban. On the other hand, clubs will use the Harry Smith decision as a benchmark if there is the slightest case of a defender contributing to the incident.

I still think they’ll find Nu Brown SOS. I also think they’ll not ban Thewell and Hoy, as the VR failed to sin bin either, so quite a step up to ban them.

They might give their token weekly FC ban to our player (forgot who?) who made late contact on their player from behind after he’d passed the ball.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

The RFL, MRP and Officials have backed themselves into a corner and only have 3 options

1. Circle their wagons and double down and just add further insult to the sport & its stakeholders
2. Front up apologise for the mess and be honest admit they’ve dropped an almighty clanger and put things right.
3. Just bury their head in the sand, ignore the issue, quietly give no further bans, sweeping it under the carpet in the hope it’ll go away.

Chances are we’ll either see option 1 or 3 either way the action taken will be to cover their own backs rather than what’s best for the sport.

Sutcliffe will 100% get a ban for his contact on the ref

I’d go for Option 3.

They take a tough stance at the start of each season, but dilute it down within weeks. If something’s wrong is Week 1 it should be wrong in Week 21. However, the RFL never operates like that.

I think so. It didn't look good, I reckon grade C and a 1-2 match ban.

Gardiner could be in trouble also for that late shot he did after the ball had gone.
