I think that the article circulating around about Salford being I financial trouble actually relates to the 2018 season when Marwan left them in financial strife, I read that there trying to go 'community owned' rather than 'community run'

So I'm not sure they are in trouble, or not any more trouble than the rest of our clubs

Out of interest do you apply the "must walk into every other team" criteria to all our players or just the overseas ones?
I assume the latter.

Find it puzzling that some posters are criticising ligi sao signing.
He was good enough to play against Australia in the World Cup final?

His discipline? He’s been part of an underperforming team for how many seasons?
Most, if not all the first team have struggled with discipline and attitude.
We can’t replace them all, I reckon 5 at the most.

Well im no racist so it doesnt bother me where the players are from. If they perform and do a job for us then I am happy they are here. Sao for me doesnt do enough and has being more of a liability then reliable.

The fact he looks better then other members of the squad isnt a high benchmark for me going onwhere we have ended up in his time here.

I would hazard a guess hes right up there for sin bins / red cards/ bans for us over the past 5 seasons.

We have made the playoffs once in his time here and that was thanks to covid.

But people are basing him been a great player cos he played for samoa at WC

He's been average for us alot of the time stupid penaltys sin bins none of that happened for samoa

Disagree, Smith has dropped Savelio, Lane, Brown, Evans at times this season, shipped out Wynne on loan due to fitness. The recurrent picking of Joe at no6 was baffling but he seems to have abandoned that at last.

There have been weeks where id have loved to have seen like 10 players dropped but we dont have the squad to do that, its also beleived there are some salary cap implications for giving players their debut, such as a player may get a salary increase for making a 1st team appearance.
