it has been obvious for years, so do you not think that the very minute Agar took over he should have made it his top priority, asking the board to bring in a new attack coach if necessary? just what has he done to change anything?
instead we've had a whole year of no progress, in fact i think its actually worse, because at least last season we had the injuries excuse and were getting players like Fellous in just to make a team.
It's not him it's the players that are too lazy to support any breaks made, and Agar hasn't been able to change that because players were tied to contracts.
He's got the same lazy players, let him build his squad and then judge him. Constant knee jerk reactions in regards to coaches by the board only have a detrimental effect in the long run.
I've said this before: He's got a healthy amount of the same players McRae did when we commited men forward to both aspects, and other players we've seen do it at their previous clubs before joining Hull. Suggesting it's down to the players not being able/willing to do it when we've seen them do it for others before is looking for excuses for him. It's blatantly obvious that it needs fixing, if he can't see it he shouldn't be a coach, and if the players all won't do as they're told (because we pretty much have nobody doing it, it's not just a few) he's either not strong enough or we need an entire new squad. I fail to believe it's the latter.

Shaun McRae had a far better squad at his disposal and still achieved nothing, and Agar doesn't have a playmaker.

So we've managed to assemble a squad comprised entirely of lazy b'stards? Uniquely in SL? Nothing to do with the coach whatsoever?
There are clearly issues with the playing staff, but to completely absolve Agar of any blame whatsoever just flies in the face of common sense.

Which is something I haven't done, like I've said before Agar does have his short comings, his use of interchanges for one but the constant knee jerk slating of him on here is pathetic. Especially considering the fact some of the people doing it still want to compare what he's accomplished to what McRae accomplished here with a far better squad
Mate, you're living in cloud cuckoo land. A lack of a half back doesn't stop us from getting quick PTB, dominating the opposition in defence, making effective interchanges, offloading the ball, backing up the man in posession, running dummy runners, kicking the ball effectively, chasing down kicks as though we're actually interested. It's all down to pish poor coaching. You can tell yourself all you want that sean long will make everything OK again but take it from me, he won't
Sean Long has been brought in to do 2 jobs.
On the playing field, and on the training pitch.
He will coach our attack, leaving Agar to go and make the tea
Codswallop. It's down to coaching, whether that be Agar or the coaches before him. The fact he inherited a problem and hasn't fixed it does not clear him of being at fault.
Hallelujah!!
Look at Brian Smith at Newcastle.
He has virtually a squad of 'unknown' players, and has turned them into contenders.
He did the same here for us.
Impressed with Agar's (or whoever) acquisitions, for next season
but next year is make or break for Agar - IMHO.
Rich Agar you are so far out of your depth it is untrue
You are a good no 2 thats it
Do you get the best out of your players, have you improved your players,do you give your players a game plan,do you have the respect of the players, are you the man to bring us success???
the answer to all those questions is no, you are not up to the job of coaching hull fc the job is too big for you, you havent got a clue tactically your interchange is a disgrace and its no good saying you dont have the tools to work with internally
it's your team, your players so instead of burying your head in the sand and putting all your eggs into next season baskets improve the players you have at your disposal or move on
