THE INDEPENDANT: Today the east, which contains the biggest council estate in Europe, is poor, a place of high unemployment and low expectation. The west, which has the city centre and the university, is posh and prosperous.

At the time I thought it was the right choice. Having just seen it again on SLTV, I think he should have passed. Horne would have gone over for the try imo.
Briscoe did play well though. But it was so fustrating that the only time the wingers got much ball was when they came inside and looked for it. In fact I don't think our 2-5 got any good ball all game. We played so negatively its unreal. If we get into the top 5 like that though then fair enough, I'll take that all day long.

Completely disagree. Having watched it too myself there was clearly a defender between Briscoe and Horne, the pass would have been 50/50 at best, it could have easily have been knocked down by the Wigan player and the break would have ended. IMO Briscoe made the right decision.

TBH a lot of people say that Tony wants to go back to the NRL when his contract is up but I've not seen anything that would indicate this. Not in the past year or two anyway at least.
If he does go though, I wouldn't be suprised if Hall moved there, meaning:

Hall, Calderwood, Briscoe, Yeaman, Raynor.

I think Briscoe looks more of a winger at the moment though.

Looking at his tackle busts (was it 6?) I reckon he might make a good prop.

Briscoe did the right thing, the pass was not quite on so keeping possession was exactly the right thing to do.

Winger or fullback I think.
