Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

I totally agree, I was just turning the original post round to highlight the point that saving money can have benefits in other areas.

Would you rather no Pritchard?
just a question, not loaded or anything.
Personally, 33yo Pritchard or invest locally, local for me

For me the priority should always be youth. Developing our own players is the only route that makes sense for long-term viability/success.

Yes but we invariably develop talented players, then really hack them off so they leave !!
Recent examples Crooks, Lineham, Cunningham et al - for whatevcer reason they all just wither on the vine - perhaps because they need nurturing, developing & coaching ? Thompson, Green, Sneyd etc all going backwards at the moment too.
Shaul, Westy, Abdul & even Houghton now look to be heading down that same wasteful route ? FFS invest in decent management, not just the coach !!

look at the coaching and management team, not one single CV stands out from a coaching/management perspective. Radford bangs on about needing "experience" on the filed, yet off it we have nobody with any pedigree.

worrying thing is,if reece dean and harry Tyson Wilson turn out to be really top class halfbacks, will they still be playing for us when they are 24?.the way things are at the moment with young talent being shipped out probably not.

" Radford understands the fans anxieties but says it's time for realism and defends the merger decision " I think there has been a deal of realism about amongst the fans for a while now Lee and not just about the merger either!!!

at the start of the season, I was being realistic about our season ahead, top 6 pushing and a scope to build on. that's what I was looking at. something to entertain us, give us hope that we're going in the right direction.
top 8 will be a struggle.
entertainment....nah
going in the right direction not a chance

If it's a 3 year deal it's less than we've been paying paea. He'll get plenty more than that in the NRL
