I’m on Lane’s side. He’s not the biggest. He’s played in a well beaten pack for most of his career. Said earlier with Cator not playing he is being asked to do lot of extra defensive work. He was up against Vaughn tonight I still say if he’s playing In a dominant pack , you will see a more effective Player.
Whoever stands by a just cause and fights for the freedom and liberation of his land from the invaders, the settlers and the colonialists, cannot possibly be called terrorist."
Think the constant slagging off Jordan lane gone too far ! Looks to me like a confidence issue - some on here will be contributing to that, please change the record. His form has slipped but 54 tackles today shows his commitment. Looked to me like he was deliberately deployed to play the Danny houghton role of delaying the play the ball, always going to get pinged a couple of times or he isn’t doing his job. He will continue to be picked because, like it or not, he is still better than his rivals. Perhaps if he got more support he might return to the form that got him in the knights squad ?
Great spirit shown tonight, and a real good effort from around 6/700 who made the long journey, great support for a struggling team.
They nearly all was knackered at the end, giving everything is sometimes all you can expect and demand, outstanding from Staves, Jack Brown, and the incredible emergence of Ashworth as a player. Laney ran his blood to water tonight, he’s not perfect, but no complaints tonight, good to see Harvey have a solid game, along with Lewis these two young wingers did well, and with better service from Sutty Martin could have had a few more chances.
Officials as per usual altered the flow of the game, they are robbing paying spectators of their money, for me this season without relegation is almost a free hit to give emerging talent a real good go, and it’s a great opportunity for these kids to taste this atmosphere, Lewis Martin, Stavely Jack Brown have earned another start next week, well done boys that was really encouraging.
Great team effort, I hope Smith continues the same combination at 1.6.7.& 9, we looked cohesive, until the controversial sending off. The pack worked incredibly hard, but discipline is still a major problem, along with unenforced basic errors.
The crazy thing about that red card was that even a large section of fans who's team benefitted from it were booing the decision. Felt sorry for your players and fans who'd travelled after that call, it was ridiculous
No one can fault Lanes effort, but he isn't good enough, the first try was fully he fault, he can't tackle a 19 year old 12 stone halfback, then gets dominated on the floor, just puts his hands up, instead of being at marker, leaving a huge gap Walker to stroll through.
He is a poor defender and does make the break he use too, him being in the 17 everywhere, is one of the reasons where we are.
Next week I'd go with
Walker Mcintosh Carlos/Mcintosh Sutcliffe Martin Smith Brown Houghton Ashworth Okunbor Staverley Brown/Lane
Thought Tomlinsons score are a bit harsh on some players. For example Thought Sutcliffe was great, a threat every time he had the ball, deserved more than a 7, Hoy a 5 too.

Houghton has to sit out next week too, unfortunately.
