Harsh on Carlos to say he's having an awful season. I don't think people realise how much coming back from such a serious injury takes out of you both physically and mentally.
Look at Griffin and Mcintosh and how long it has taken them to hit top form after suffering the same injuries plus Carlos has the added pressure of the captaincy.
I wouldn't say Carlos has been awful I'd say it just seems noticeable that he hasn't been playing as well as he usually does. As you rightly say he is coming back after an injury & the same one that saw McIntosh and Griffin take time to come back from.
Conversely is it the fact that Scott has now started to show a good and consistent run of form that has highlighted this more so? This for me is a positive that there is genuine competition for the spots in question and that TS has shown if you aren't performing in not just game situations but in training also then you will be sat or in the reserves to focus.
Carlos has very rarely if ever let us down and don't think he'll start doing so now but the pressure is on with the performances of others.
With Griffin gone what is concerning is the poor form of Lane in a position we are not exactly flush with in terms of quality especially with Savelios injury concerns. Think Staveley has to start getting game time and it may also be an option as others have said to look at Carlos in to the SR.
