I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I'm gutted about this, one of my favourite players of the last few years.

I’m not sure how I feel re Griffin as on the one hand he has been one of our better and most consistent players at times as was the case before his injury. Then on the other hand rumour of not seeing eye to eye with previous coach and sone truly awful efforts.
This season he has probably been our best and most effective SR so that colours judgement as fans a little. I wonder with his outbursts this season whether he has wanted to be at the club or felt wanted, who knows. That said what we do know as fans is that we have been crying out for an experienced coach who was prepared to make the hard & tough decisions & change the culture & mentality within the players.
For too long the club has been too sentimental and finally we are making decisions based on evidence of attitude & willingness to improve and give that extra 1%.
AP has finally got a coach in that meets the needs/requirements and has thankfully given his full support to the right coach this time.

I wish Josh all the best for his future and thank him for his efforts in the success he was a part of and now look forward to the future.

Yeah I get it's probably the right decision overall. But I loved him as an FC player.

I still hope we get more of an explanation off Smith to why he has been released now.

Short and sweet from the club, very similar to the Connor announcement. Best of luck Josh, you won a cup medal and should have got more, no doubt Bonaire will be stalking you on the Wakey forum if don’t perform.

Yup, says it all.
Sad to see him go, but that's life.
Really good for us when injury clear.

Before his awful injury, ironically against Saints, he was a devastating centre and made great yards out of back field. When he came back, he was a bit out of condition, but this year has been phenomenal in the back row,; his display against Warrington was superb. Sad he's gone , but there is a change happening and maybe he wasn't they type who would buy into it. I am happy with how Hull are changing the focus to youth and building a culture at the club, TS has been our best signing, let's all enjoy his version of our team, they are certainly together and fighting for the badge now.

Agree with all those points GB. I like the look of the journey we’re on.
I’m more excited about how TS will develop the young players over any signing.
Finally have a coach we can all get behind. He’s galvanised the whole club.

So he wasn't offered a contract and it hadn't been withdrawn. So much for the know it all on here.

Sounds like it was a fairly amicable agreement to go from that piece.
Be nice if the club offer him the chance to say goodbye to the fans properly and vice versa at the weekend.

Interesting to read that he's only signed an 18 month deal at Wakefield.
